Bats get their own dedicated service because bat work in Florida is governed by a statutory season and a specific exclusion method, and it is not the same job as general pest control. Florida Wildlife Specialists also handles other nuisance wildlife, so if the inspection turns up raccoons in the same attic, one call covers both.
How we work
Bats are protected in Florida, so the lawful method is exclusion rather than trapping or extermination. We identify the active entry points, seal everything else, fit one way doors so the colony can leave but not return, then close the remaining openings permanently once the building is clear.
Under Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission rules, bats may not be excluded without appropriate authorization between April 16 and August 14, when females are raising flightless pups. In practice that means Lakeland exclusion work is scheduled for the August 15 through April 15 window, and inspections booked during the closed season are used to plan and quote the work rather than perform it.
